So today me and my father went down to the Bronx to watch our beloved New York Yankees take on the Texas Rangers.  It was  a great trip.  We took the train down from New Haven directly to East 153st in the Bronx which is directly across the street from the new stadium.  This was my first time going to the new stadium since it opened up 2 years ago.  The new stadium is beautiful.  On the site of the old stadium the city of New York is building baseball feilds for the kids of the Bronx which is a nice thing to do since there isn't alot of room there for them to play baseball, and it's better then them staying out on the streets getting into mischeif.  The ride down on the metronorth train was great.  You can bring beer on the train and pregame on the way.  What is also awesome is that this particular train named the "Yankee Clipper" makes 5 stops and then goes express from Stamford all the way to the stadium so it's a fast ride down there.  Once we got to the platform I felt like a little kid again.  I was so excited to watch the Yankees play, it was like I was going to my first game all over again.  I had been to the old stadium a bunch of times to watch the Yankees play but this time was different.  The new stadium had wide open areas in the main concourse with gigantic pictures of famous Yankees all over the place.  It's a really special place and I can't wait to go back down again which will be May 20th to watch the Mets come into town for a subway series with the Yanks.
